Art Classes

We listened to your suggestions and we've changed the ages for the 4 day themed sessions. We are now offering a younger session for kids 6-10 and an older session for kids 11-14. There is one Paint Your Pet session for 9-12 year olds. If you have a child slightly younger or older and you think they would love these sessions please email us to discuss. Our days are fast paced and we do art the whole time - it's the perfect summer adventure for art loving kids!

All younger sessions will include drawing, painting, and 3D crafts related to the theme. We pride ourselves on developing cool projects (you won't be gluing fun foam door signs here). Projects could include: papier mache, Sculpey clay, Shrinky Dinks, printmaking, mosacis, jewelry, and more. We're testing projects now getting everything ready for summer.

Older sessions are designed primarily for middle school students. The projects and drawings are age appropriate and fun.

Register Online - Our entire summer program is listed on our calendar: The calendar updates in real time so you will have immediate confirmation once you register. This secure site accepts VISA, Master Card Discover, and American Express. Questions? Click here to see the calendar - https://www.rezclick.com/3cheersforart/index.php?page=calendar

Paint Your Pet

Paint Your Pet

This week our main project will be an acrylic painting of your favorite pet – it can be a dog, cat, hamster, iguana, or even a fish. We need you to take a great photo of your pet, a photo that shows off your pet’s unique personality, and email it to us before the session. We’ll transfer your photo onto a stretched canvas and this will become your unique guide for your painting. We’ll show you how to mix colors and teach you brush stroke techniques. By the time you’re done your background guide will be completely covered and you’ll have an amazing painting of your favorite pet. If you don’t have a pet of your own this could make a great gift for someone who does. If time allows we’ll also be creating some pet inspired crafts. Email your photo to: ctartschool@cox.net.

Mandala Rocks Felting

Painting Mandala Rocks & Needle Felting

This is your chance to explore two art techniques. We’ll start with rock painting and you’ll learn how to paint dots in a pattern to create a beautiful mandala design. We’ll use a combination of dotting tools and paint brushes with acrylics to paint the designs. The colors combinations and design choices are endless – rock painting is so much fun! We’ll also learn how to needle felt with wool, special barbed tools, foam blocks, and a supply of Band-Aids (just in case fingers get poked). Needle felting is amazing – the tool locks the wool in place. You’ll magically transform a cloud of fiber into shapes and forms creating animals and characters.
